Maybe some creative thought can go into a different model but I’m all for this update and the devs being supported because I want them to continue going with what is the best Twitter experience that they are allowed to make because Twitter themselves took away a lot of the features. Which I believe this app and the devs do a great job of doing so I can see people supporting it. I think that yearly update charge, or even every six months not being advertised as subscription but something someone would have to consider and purchase it especially if the features are worth it. I think that everything going subscription doesn’t make sense when people are starting to get subscription fatigue.
Even though I will continue to support the app as well as the devs, I think maybe quarterly feature updates that you have to pay a upgrade fee would be cool or even a decently priced upgrade charge for the yr. To be honest Twitter should pay Tapbots for their designs and efficiency of the app. The devs behind Tweetbot are amazing and deserve support for making what I would say is the best Twitter client out there.
